What is andrology?

Part of medicine that studies the man, in particular diseases of the male reproductive organs.

Andrology is a subspecialty of Urology, where the specialist is responsible for the study, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of issues related to male sexual health and reproductive status of the man. In CAU we have the experience of Dr Marian Cohen to give a response to this specialty.
The sexual dysfunctions in men are the various alterations that do not allow you to maintain a satisfying sex. These difficulties can be produced by organic factors or psychological.
Queries are most common in the office of the Andrologist are the symptoms of pathologies such as varicocele, a low level in the result of semen analysis or vasectomy and/or reversal of vasectomy, all that refers to the family planning and the difficulties of erectile dysfunction.

Treatments

Some of the treatments that are most used in CAU to solve these pathologies are:

• Erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation: in practice we use an oral treatment, follow-up with the Service
Sexologytherapy with shock waves, treatment with EMSELLA in your program, dysfunction, and in cases of
need placement of penile prostheses in the operating room.

• Male infertility: surgeries that we perform in our operating rooms: varicocele, vasectomy, reconstruction in post-vasectomy and/or biopsy of the testis.
